As the dozens of piles of ties along the right-of-way suggest, UP is currently in the midst of a substantial maintenance program on the Moffat. New ballast has been laid, and ties and tie plates are being replaced. Not one, but two work trains are both seen in this shot. One work train is coming out of the house track at Rocky, and another came out of the storage yard at North Yard and is headed for Plain.
