This winter has been one of the driest winters in Colorado history. While other parts of the country have been hammered with record snowfall, Colorado is well below the average snow pack. As you can see here in this shot with the Winter Park Express knocking down the signal at the east switch of Fraser, there is relatively little snow to be found. March is generally the snowiest month of the year in Colorado. Yet, there is dry ground everywhere.
