Close to five hours after departing Fraser, CO, this Union Pacific passenger special has made it to Palmer Lake. A distance of about roughly 115 miles. Just to change things up a bit, I decided to get an elevated shot here, including the entire lake that shares a name with the town. The train has another 20-ish miles to go before arriving at Colorado Springs, where its VIP passengers (including UP CEO Jim Vena) will get off the train. The train would then continue to Pueblo to turn around and then return north, deadheading back to Council Bluffs, IA (home base for UP's passenger equipment).
