Most railroads painted a unit in red, white, and blue and renumbered it 1776 (and/or 2026) for the 250th Anniversary of the United States. Union Pacific, however, just applied an "American 250" patch to this freshly painted SD70M. I think they chose to do this to keep the consist of the special more uniform with UP Armour Yellow.
