Former Amtrak P40DCs 823 and 809 were delivered to Amtrak in 1993. After being stored by Amtrak, they were rebuilt using federal ARRA funding and put back into service, receiving the Phase 5 paint scheme. These two units were later sold to LTEX leasing in 2015, and later to SP Rail Group.
