UP 5525 is on the Belt Lead, crossing BNSF's New North Main. Decades ago, Rock Island trains would come to Denver from the east across the Belt Lead here to interchange with Rio Grande. Prior to BNSF and Burlington Northern, the New North Main was owned by the Colorado and Southern.
