Like most railroads in 2026, the number units that Norfolk Southern has on the roster (built since 1990) is skewered drastically toward GE. 80% of the units NS has purchased since 1990 are GE, and only 20% are EMD. So, it was great to catch this SD70ACe as the second unit on a westbound BNSF oil empty at Irondale on the BNSF Brush Sub.
