Friday, November 17, 2006 - On Wednesday, November 15, 2006, DRGW 5371 left Helper, UT, quite possibly for the very last time. The unit went west of Soldier Summit on the MNYPV, arriving in Provo at 7:54pm.
The unit sat around Provo for the day before leave tonight (Thursday, November 16) on the MPVRO-16 bound for Roper. With a bit of luck, the unit will be placed on the MRONP (or some such train) tomorrow, making a daytime appearance in Cheyenne on either Saturday or Sunday.
If you can get away, this would be the time to do it. Never again will any of us have the chance to shoot the last active Rio Grande unit in the world!
