UP 1989 on the Ski Train Again

Friday, February 9, 2007 - Yup, for the second weekend in a row, UP 1989 (Search Photo Gallery) is going to lead the Ski Train between Denver and Winter Park. After running on the point last weekend, it was assumed SKTX 289 would back in action this weekend. On Tuesday, UP 1989 (Search Photo Gallery) was pulled off the Ski Train at Union Station and moved back to North Yard. That night, UP 1989 (Search Photo Gallery) was on the MNYPU-06 and ran south to Pueblo. The next night, it came back north (per the norm) on the MPUNY-07.
Thursday night, sure enough, UP 1989 (Search Photo Gallery) was taken from North Yard back down to Union Station and tied onto the front of the train. On my way to work this morning I took a few minor detours and got these three shots. The fog was something to deal with, but overall it worked out okay! Get those shots while you can. Who knows if this will really be the last weekend.
