Wednesday, June 27, 2007 - It has been a very interesting week this week. First off, the (new) Heritage Units (included UP 1989 (Search Photo Gallery)) are making their way toward Salt Lake City through Wyoming, the (old) Heritage Units on UP's roster are here in Colorado. The old units I'm referring to are UP's E9's (951, 963B, and 949), still going strong.
The units are leading up a six-car Operation Lifesaver Train headed for Steamboat Springs on the Craig Branch. They will run there for a few days before heading to Grand Junction for some runs between Grand Junction and De Beque as well as Grand Junction and Paonia (on the North Fork).
I managed to get trackside today and I have posted four images of the OLS Train heading west between Rocky and Tunnel 1.
