This signal displays the same aspect as the east switch of Winter Park, which can be see in the distance toward the right side of the photo. The signal allows westbound trains to know what to expect at the east switch of Winter Park. If this repeater is red, trains may pass the signal, prepared to stop at east Winter Park. The winter ski season is getting close to an end as this westbound MNYRO pops out of the west portal of the Moffat Tunnel and passes by a still-busy Winter Park ski resort.
