Steam engines, obviously, require water in order to run. And a LOT of water. Thousands of gallons of water is required to boil and turn to steam. Here, in Cheyenne, the fire department is helping out by connecting their hoses to a fire hydrant on one end, and the "water bottle" on the other end.

Passengers from the Cheyenne Frontier Days steam train are disembarking and getting ready to ride some buses to the Frontier Days celebration. However, several are taking advantage of the opportunity to get some pictures of UP 844, sitting on Main Track P1 at the station.
