Since a single railroad can't always get freight to or from a customer, cars are regularly interchanged between railroads so they can get where they're going! At Fox Junction, BNSF is delivering a string of cars from BNSF's 31st Street Yard to UP's North Yard.

This is only the second SD70M-2 that I've seen up to the date of the photo. A bit of a rare sight in Denver, a Norfolk Southern unit passes through town on BNSF's Provo to Denver manifest.

At the far south end of North Yard (in Denver), you'll find Fox Junction. Here, UP has two main tracks that head south. One heads for the Joint Line and the other collides with BNSF tracks at Prospect Junction and lead to Union Station. I have always liked the dwarf signals found here at Fox Junction, this particular signal found on the UP Outbound Track.
