Afternoon clouds to the west cast a shadow over the area as a coal empty charges west at Simms Street in Arvada. Three of the five units on the point are active and loading. The last two are just enjoying the ride!

With the sun well below the mountains, I decided to see how well my flash would work on the reflective tape of the units. The eastbound coal load is headed for Bypass Two at the north end of North Yard.

With light fading quickly in the western sky, the eastbound Ski Train crosses 72nd Avenue in Arvada. The train is running right on time, coming up to an Advanced Approach (flashing yellow) signal at Kipling Street.
