The Phase 2 is my favorite in particular because the radiator intakes are angled out slightly. Not as much as an SD45, but more than an SD70M Phase 1. In addition, the teardrop windshield is in place and the original EMD wide cab looks great before the new nose introduced in the Phase 3 (and subsequently on SD70ACes). Such is the case of Union Pacific as a string of 40 to 50 SD70Ms are currently being stored in the small yard in Sidney, NE along the Overland.
