Between Hanna and Medicine Bow, the UP Big Boy (4014) and train are approaching the US-30 underpass on the journey east to Cheyenne under overcast skies (at the moment).

The winds were very strong in Wyoming today as UP 4014 and train headed east from Rawlins to Cheyenne. With partly cloudy skies, the wind was blowing the clouds in and out the area very quickly. Here, just as a cloud catches up, UP 4014 and train head east on Main 2.

NS 7550 is the sole unit remaining on this eastbound covered hopper train after the crew took the lead two units to the east end of the siding. In the distance, you can see another eastbound pulling through the siding. The second unit from this train on Main 2 will be donated to the train in the siding as another one of its units failed.

A eastbound covered hopper train has come to a stop on Main 2 between Hanna and Ramsey. Another eastbound needs to steal the second unit on the head end of this train to make the climb. The other train will pull along next to this train on the south siding in the foreground.
