The train is the last non-grain, non-Limon Local train that will be on the KP line for the foreseeable future. The autoracks are going in to storage on the main at Jim, along with two other strings of autoracks that will be stored on both the main and siding at Jim, blocking the KP as a through route. Along with the Rio Grande heritage unit, the Western Pacific wears the best-looking paint scheme of the six (in my opinion). However, the Western Pacific heritage unit made a quick swing through Denver in June 2016. It picked up a blade train in Greeley and then headed east on the KP toward Kansas and points beyond.
