At the north end of Broomfield at Burns Junction, a northbound Power River Basin coal reroute is stopped and waiting for a meet with a southbound. Some very nice (matching) power is on the point of the coal empty.

A lot of maintenance work on the BNSF Angora Sub (in northeastern Colorado) has forced the rerouting of several coal empties up the Front Range Sub in order to reach the Power River Basin. This particular empty sits in the siding at Broomfield to wait for a meet in a fresh coating of spring snow. The train is sufficiently long that it has had to cut Nickel Street in Broomfield.
