BNSF's Longmont Switch has just crossed over US-287 in Broomfield and is backing down the Lafayette branch. This local used to run at night, but has been running in the daylight for nearly a year. While I had caught it a few times in the Summer, this is the first time I've seen it on the branch in Winter!

The Longmont Switch back over none other than Coal Creek as it switches out some cars at the north end of the Lafayette branch.

A brakeman working on the Longmont Switch is on the ground standing by at a switch. The caboose (now referred to as "shoving platform") is on the branch while the Switch picks up a few cars.

A pair of geeps (a GP38-2 and a GP60) sit on a bridge over Coal Creek in Lafayette. The Longmont Switch is stopped while the brakeman aligns a switch behind the train.
