While it is true the BNSF letting and scheme date the image somewhat, the fact that SD40-2s are still the power of choice for most yard and local jobs, this could just as easily be 1988 as 2018. The brakeman, see walking to the right, just aligned the derail that protects cars in the yard, and is now walking back. A handful of cars will be spotted on one of the tracks just east of the yard.
