The unit was originally delivered to Southern Railway (#2795) in February 1970. Since then, it went to Norfolk Southern, and then a number of short lines before landing with Progress Rail Leasing. It is a transload facility operated by Wyoming Connect Railroad, a short-line railroad owned by the Genessee and Wyoming. One of the units used for switching is this PRLX (Progressive Rail Leasing) SD45T-2! The unit was delivered as SP 9225, later renumbered to SP 6845. Former BNSF SD40-2s, the units are now lettered for PRLX, which is Progress Rail Services, the company that rebuilt them. Not sure why they would have fresh BNSF paint but be lettered PRLX.
