Note the blade pointing toward the sky on the left side of the picture. That is a clear signal for this train, and the signal will drop (quite literally) to red as the train passes. The train is headed for Las Vegas, NM. Since the sale of Raton to the New Mexico Department of Transportation hasn't gone through yet, BNSF still has to do some level of maintenance.
