Amtrak has ordered 70 ACS-64 electric engines from Siemens for use along the Northeast Corridor. These units will replace the 52 AEM-7 (built by EMD) units and 15 HHP-8 (built by Bombardier) currently in use. The units will be numbered from 600-669. Email Questions or Comments to the Webmaster.
