Paying homage to Southern Pacific, the scheme on UP 1996 represents SP's Daylight Scheme, worn by many of its passengers trains (including Alco PAs and EMD E/F units) as well as SP 4449 (steam). Here, the Heritage Unit looks great amongst snow and blue skies.
