This eastbound coal train loaded at the West Elk Mine on the North Fork Branch. For all intents and purposes, the West Elk Mine is the only mine remaining in Colorado that still loads trains. The train will cut out its mid-train swing helpers before continuing east onto the KP (the Limon Sub).
