However, being one of only five "crew cab" GP50s, it seemed worth while to post another picture of it. The nose on these units was shortened to offer space in the cab for two more crew members. The manifest is built in the yard and then shoved back toward Union Station so the power can be put on. Then, once it has permission from the yardmaster, the train pulls out of the yard toward the Limon Sub to head east to Salina, KS. An SD70M leads up a C40-9 (standard cab!) and a former Espee SD40T-2. This is the only (regular) daily manifest that runs on the Limon Subdivision. The lead unit - A C44-9W - sports the Heritage 2 scheme. This is still the most dominate BNSF scheme on the railroad. Next up is a second C44-9W, but this units wears the original Heritage scheme. The train is the MAKRPVO - the Akron to Provo manifest. First time I had ever heard of this particular train on the Moffat. Sometimes, BNSF will stage trains outside major yards and use the staging location as the originating terminal in the train symbol. I suspect that may have been the case here.
