For a time, BNSF actually painted newly received C44-9Ws in the Warbonnet scheme, before dropping it entirely in favor of the Heritage 2. The cab almost has an Alco look to it, which is one of the things that identifies the unit as a GP10 and not a low-nose GP7 or GP9.
