Forgive the "shadows" in this shot. I had to shoot through a chain link fence! The cars from the derailment line the retaining wall separating the tank cars from Light Rail.

While Main 1 was completely destroyed in the derailment of the sulfur train, both Main 2 and Main 3 suffered some damage throughout the trench.

Cleanup crews don't much care about the damage that might be introduced to the tracks on Main 2 and Main 3 as crews and tractors work to re-rail derailed tank cars.

A wider-angle shot of the derailment of the "stinky slinky" in the trench. The derailed cars hit the retaining wall for the Light Rail tracks, disrupting the rail bed and leaving some debris on the tracks.

You really can't ask for a consist much better than this in 2008! An Oakway (EMD-leased) SD60 sandwiched by a pair of ex-ATSF warbonnets. The leader, an SD75M, is in really good shape!

I think this has to be close to the definition of a Winter Wonderland! A warbonnet SD75M and an Oakway SD60 (which is technically no longer leased by the defunct Oakway) head up the power for a southbound manifest near Blakeland.

While there is some clutter in the way in this picture, I like some of the things that are included: The pedestrian foot bridge at Mineral Street, the Light Rail station at Mineral, and the signal bridges at Littleton marking the end of the CTC triple track and the start of the TWC double track (when heading south).

The Westinghouse Electric Corp Schnabel car doesn't even come close to fitting on the bridge over US-85 in Littleton! Make you wonder if the cars on US-85 even gave a second thought to the rather unusual load...
