The train is making good time, and shouldn't have to stop again until reaching BNSF's North Yard in Fort Collins. The one "misfit" is the sixth car, which has a Frisco-inspired paint scheme. The train is rolling north toward the small town of Berthoud. Notice the three cars headed the same direction as the train to the left...and three are fellow railfans, giving chase to this unique move. I doubt that will every change. So, when there is a train (even if it is a local) that is running with a solid set of SD40-2s, it makes me happy! This southbound local has a trio of SD40-2s for power. The lead unit has the "white face" that Burlington Northern developed to try to increase visibility to oncoming trains. You may recall that they also developed an "orange face" as well that was applied to some GP50s. So if you use your imagination, maybe that second BNSF SD40-2 is just an orange face GP50!
