The only two regular freights on BNSF's Front Range Sub in the MDENLAU and MLAUDEN. On the first Monday of 2005, however, there was a VPTLDEN that was running south on the Front Range Sub. It was led by BNSF 4999. Here, the train is passed under Foothills Pkwy at MP 32.

On a beautiful Friday afternoon, a southbound BNSF manifest works its way past milepost 25 and the Valmont Power Plant in Boulder. The train is led by a Dash 9-44CW and a former Santa Fe SD45. The SD45 is now listed as NREX 6410, and has quite possibly been rebuilt to SD40-2 specifications.
