On December 30, however, UP 3000 led a westbound train from Denver to Grand Junction. The power was wyed in Grand Junction and UP 3000, along with an SD70M, was added to the point of an eastbound coal load! The duo, along with the standard DPU compliment in the middle and end of the train, made the trip back east on New Year's Day 2021, see here leaving the siding at Lacy after the eastbound Zephyr ran around the train.
