The line used to run all the way into Boulder from the east, but has since been severed. UP is currently using the north end for surplus covered hopper storage. UP 6936 sits on the Broadway overpass. Back when DDA40X's were (relatively) common, Broadway came to town via a viaduct running over the tracks. This is the first time I've personally seen the train take this route to wye. The train held here, waiting for permission from BNSF, until long after I had to hit the road! It is well after sunset as a fresh UP crew ("fresh" meaning a different crew from the one that took the train to Winter Park) works to wye the train so it is prepared for its next run. This time, the Ski Train backed down the inbound lead toward 36th Street. An interesting shot of the train with Coors Field in the distance. The GEVO is just six days shy of celebrating its five month birthday! By comparison, UP 844 is getting close to its 64th birthday. It was built in December 1944.
