Such was the case for me when I saw a headlight on the horizon on Main One. I was heading north on the I-25 Frontage Road (just south of Castle Rock). Upon seeing the headlight, I pulled over to get some shots, expecting a coal train. Much to my surprise, there was only a single ES44AC headed south! Not even sure exactly where it was off to... The train is making about 14 MPH which is pretty typical for such trains on the Joint Line. The grade crossing in the background is for West Tomah Road. The train would arrive at North Yard about an hour later, nearly 24 hours after departing the yard in Pueblo. High traffic volumes were the cause of the delay.
