After the MoPac/UP merger, Rio Grande actually gained trackage rights to Kansas City on the MoPac line from NA Junction. After the UP/SP merger, UP sold the line to short line railroads and it is hardly used today. BNSF train, however, use the former ATSF line (now the Pueblo Sub) to make it to La Junta.
