Just a few miles south of the siding of Owl Canyon, the MDENLAU-20 is making its way north as it crosses over County Road 7. Summer is still in full swing in Colorado as September is nearing! The white fluffy clouds in the background will soon give way to large thunder clouds, resulting in afternoon showers.

About ten miles west of Cheyenne, this eastbound unit grain train (sometimes referred to as an "earthworm") is still on a clear signal on Main Two.

West of Cheyenne, UP has a third main track on a completely separate grade from main's one and two. The third track has less severe grades, and westbounds are often routed on that track for an easier climb. Here, a westbound unit autorack train is just west of the siding of Harriman on the third main track.

At Dale Junction, UP's third main track (which lies on a separate grade from the first two main tracks west of Cheyenne) converges with the first two main's when heading west. Not far east of Dale is a massive cut towering at least 150 feet over the railroad. Here, a westbound unit grain train is about to pass through the cut.

Leaving the last cut before Dale Junction behind, this westbound train is slowing on an "Advanced Approach" (flashing yellow) signal as it approaches the Junction.
