In fact, the power was extremely unique, with a BNSF warbonnet leading, followed by brand new KCS SD70ACe (#4009) and the BNSF 7920. The second and third units are from the two best-selling series EMD has ever produced (albeit there is a 30 year gap between the 70-series and 40-series). Kansas City Southern purchased 30 SD70ACe's (4000-4029) for delivery in early 2006. Just about half of the order had been filled when this pictures was taken!
