Yard Shots BNSF
The new, the old, and the...ummm...very old! BNSF 9395 is an SD70ACe delivered to BNSF since May. Behind it is BN 9554, an (unpatched) "green and cream" SD70MAC sent to the BN eleven years earlier in 1995. Sitting, shut down, a few hundered feet behind these two is BNSF 6154. This SD9 was delivered 51 years ago in August 1955 as CBQ 352.

One of BN's various experimental paint schemes included placing the BN herald at the end of the long hood (on the engineers side) followed by "Burlington Northern" spelled out across the long hood. Today, BNSF 3149 still shows signs of this scheme, and is one of the few GP50's left operating on a Class I.

Yard Shots DRG
While driving around the Denver are, I happened to stumble across this wooden narrow gauge stock car. Letter for the Denver and Rio Grande, the car was sitting on slim gauge tracks that were severed on either side.

Brush (BNSF) BNSF
A long BNSF coal load led by an AC4400CW and an SD70MAC slows at a diverging approach signal. The train is about to enter the northern end of BNSF's 38st Street Yard. With both coal mains occupied, this load will go down the main track and tie down in the Lodo Siding on the other side of 23rd Street.
