An eastbound coal load, led by a Tier-1 compliant AC4400CW (known as a C44AC-CTE by GE), passes east through an area of Arvada that appears deceptively rural. This section of track is in between the grade crossing of 68th Avenue and Carr Street.

At the time of the photo, there were less than two dozen unpatched Espee AC4400CW's left, most being the 100-199 number range. This number range is not equipped with DPU capabilities, and thus has had a lower patching priority.

An eastbound coal load heads down a long straight section of track between Carr Street and Pierce Street (roughly) in mid-Arvada. UP 7281 was the last [DPU] unit on the train and caught the light nicely on the way toward town.
