Sounds like a coal load that was having some problems prevented the Ski Train from being able to be wyed at Tabernash. The power run around the train (note SKTX 283 in the lead instead of the typical SKTX 242). Passengers in the Kansas, Utah and California have a front seat view of the power! Those with a keen eye might note something different about the Ski Train on this evening...the private cars are at the front of the train! This would be because the train was unable to wye (turn around) at Tabernash. So, the power ran around the train and essentially ran down the mountain "backward".
