While the power on the HLAUDEN is pretty typical, the dynamic clouds make the day anything but typical! Longs Peak scrapes the base of the clouds as the train approaches the north switch of Broomfield.

The siding of Broomfield is the only siding between Denver and Longs Peak (just north of Longmont) that is long enough to support a meet between most trains on the Front Range Sub. That's a distance of close to 50 miles. So, it is unusual when a train passes through Broomfield without having to stop to meet another train! However, such was the case on this afternoon as the HLAUDEN went through Broomfield at track speed.
