This is the daily ZDVSC. The train ran via the Moffat and the desert once upon a time, but was moved to the Overland route sometime around 2002. However, a little blast of sunlight on the lead units make this a nice black and white shot. Due to maintenance on the Moffat, the California Zephyr is being rerouted through Wyoming. Here, the train is on the approach to Green River, WY. This is about 200 miles north of Green River, UT, the typical stop for the Zephyr!
