For the first time in roughly six weeks, the westbound Zephyr is once again departing Denver in the morning. Due to maintenance on the Moffat, the train has either be running through Wyoming, or running over the Moffat but departing Denver at 12:35pm.

The westbound Zephyr crosses the 80th Avenue grade crossing just east of Leyden. The Zephyr is following a line of high level morning clouds.

The trees in the Denver-Metro area pretty reliably go through their fall color transitions in mid-October. 2017 is no exception as the Zephyr races by a changing Cottonwood tree at the east switch of Leyden.
