I could have gotten a shot in Byers Canyon, but it was raining pretty hard there and, after shooting the westbound Zephyr there earlier in the day, I opted to just get ahead and get a shot here, west of Granby. The Zephyr often will hold here for 10-15 minutes to give passengers a chance to stretch their legs. The eastbound Zephyr is about to plunge in to the 6.2-mile-long Moffat Tunnel. While the snow at Winter Park is not deep enough to accommodate skiers just yet, more snow is definitely in the forecast and it shouldn't be long before a new ski season kicks off.
