The Beer Run is about to pass underneath Sheridan Blvd on its relatively slow trip west from Denver out to Golden. On the left, the UP Main (Moffat Tunnel Sub) sits quite with the Arvada siding next to it.

The Beer Train passes through Olivet Cemetary in western Arvada on the way to Coors. (Forgive the fence in the way - little I could do to avoid it)

With a relatively short beer train in tow (consisting entirely of hoppers after the first boxcar), BNSF 7008 crosses Wadworth in the distance (soon to receive a grade spearation) and is just about to cross over Vance Street in Olde Town Arvada.

Preparing to pick up some hopper cars near the east end of the north yard at Coors, these SD40-2s are slowing down. The "M" on the mountain in the distance represents the Colorado School of Mines, an engineering school located in Golden.

Having finished with some local switching on the Golden Sub at an industry off of Ridge Road in Arvada, power for the Beer Run passes Terrell Junction (near Eldridge Road) on the way back to Golden to pick up the Beer Run at Coors Brewery. Eldridge Junction is the location where trains can either head straight into the North Yard at Coors, or turn south and go into the south yard at Coors.

There are two "Beer Runs" each day for a total of four trains (two out of Golden, two into Golden). Today, the first beer run is holding west of Tennyson Street. The train is waiting for the MNYPH, which is about to leave C&S Jct. The hoppers to the right are sitting on the relatively new "Arvada Siding".

The "Beer Run", which runs between Denver and the Coors Factory in Golden, has some interesting power on it right now. First up is this GP60M, with a small "BNSF" patch on the nose.
