While it looks like the intermediate signal at Kipling is red (left side of the shot), it is actually flashing yellow (Advanced Approach). The last two cars here (Utah and Kansas) were business cars on the Rio Grande and were often seen on the back of Amtrak between Denver and Salt Lake. Now, they have a home on the Ski Train.
