The local picked up these five hoppers from the aggregate plant at the end of the spur. They wyed the train (turned it around) on the wye left behind from the days of Rocky Flats about a half mile to the north. Note that the second hopper is of Chicago Northwestern heritage. For several months, the West Local was not running. Apparently, flood waters had caused some damage along the Rocky Flats Industrial Lead. Texas Industries thought UP should repair the track and UP thought Texas Industries should. Consequently, the local stopped running and, during that time, Texas Industries trucked their aggregate to Loveland and loaded it on BNSF. It appears that the tracks on the Rocky Flats Industrial Lead has been repaired (although I have no clue by whom) and this is the third week the local has run since restarting.
