One of a half dozen (or so) engines used for switching at the massive Swan Ranch transload facility just southwest of Cheyenne is sitting on a Saturday morning, waiting for its next assignment. This SD40-2 (in an SD40 carbody) has had a long history of multiple owner. It was delivered to Kansas City Southern in June 1970. It went to Soo Line, Canadian Pacific, and three leasing companies before going to Watco and then Swan Ranch Railroad.
