The coal comes from Union Pacific's North Fork Branch near Grand Junction. Once in Denver, two UP units are left on the train and a BNSF SD70MAC is added. The coal is provided to the Valmont power plant in Boulder by Union Pacific. However, BNSF provides the crew (and power) to get the train to Boulder from Denver. The train is led by a Dash 9-44CW and a former Santa Fe SD45. The SD45 is now listed as NREX 6410, and has quite possibly been rebuilt to SD40-2 specifications.
