It turns out that these units were most recently used on the Valmont coal train. UP runs the train from the mines to Denver; BNSF runs the train from Denver to the power plant in Boulder. Here is a shot looking back at the manifest as we pass it. The two tracks to the left (Main Two and Main One) go on the Belt Bypass to the Belt Industrial Lead. This car has been converted to carry mountain bikes up to Winter Park (at no extra cost) so passengers can get some exercise for the day!
