A new overpass is in the process of being built for Central Park Blvd. It isn't complete yet but it is complete enough that I could stand on the sidewalk and get this shot of a windmill train heading west on the Limon Sub. Once reaching Denver, the train will make an abrupt turn north and toward Cheyenne and the Overland Route for the trip to Utah.

Whether you like it or not, we are currently in the "New Energy Economy". A part of that new energy is wind power. And the way to move those components around is by rail! Here is a "windmill train" on it's way to Milford, UT from Hutchinson, KS. This train contains the tops of the windmills. The train is along the stretch of track between Havana Street and Ulster Street near the Stapleton Development.

About a month ago, the new Pecos Street flyover was completed near Utah Junction. While the bridge will be four lanes, one two are open thus far. Crews also have not yet erected fencing along the edges of the bridge (although the process has started). Here, the MNYGJ is on the left pulling out of North Yard on to the main. BNSF's Beer Run is holding on the North Yard siding waiting on the MNYGJ to get in the clear.

At first glance, it might seem as though there is nothing unusual in this shot. Just a group of units hanging out at the ready tracks in North Yard. However, upon closer inspection, note the unit on the left side of the shot. That is a former Espee GP40P-2. The steam generator has of course long since been removed, but the extended long hood and the angled radiators remain.
